Through my research for this project i learned that there was more to blogging than talking about yourself. Before i had never used a blog for recipes, news and information. I'd only read my friends blogs which were usually about themselves. I feel that this project was worthwhile to me because it showed me something that i didn't know a lot about. It also gave me something to apply what I've learned in the book to. I still feel that blogging has affected print journalism, and that my research still strongly supports my thesis. Because of blogging, newspapers and magazines have had to change their marketing strategies, and many have put their papers online so they can keep their audience. That is a big change for print journalism that came along because of the internet.

I too was surprised by how much more there is to blogs, wheras before I thought the majority were simply vanity blogs that droned on and on about themselves...or worse, just had tidbits of something random in them. Blogs can be used in an intelligent way, but it still seems to be a more quiet way to get your word accross. Think about it, if you post something yourself, even if you have credible sources, it's just a shot in the dark that somebody will read it and find it important to them...even if what you are blogging about it really relevant...like global warming, etc. Blogging has a long way to go, but I stil think it's a wonderful journalism tool.
